TEXTILE FACTORY TALESPaterson, NJ used to be the major hub of textile industry during 19th and 20th centuries. This building was occupied by Tison Textile Company that produced draperies. As it was closing it’s doors forever in June of 2006 the factory was finishing up its last order: the custom draperies for the Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. The building is scheduled to be converted into luxury condominium.
The Textile Factory Tales is the series of 15 photographs that were taken in this factory on a nice sunny day in May, 2007. Some windows were still draped in the colorful products of this factory. The images were slightly color enhanced to emphasize the glory and the bright colors of the old times contrasted with the closure and destruction. All imaged are printed on a professional giclee printer using archival pigment inks. All images are printed on high quality professional paper 13”x19”. This is a limited edition of 25. |
